Irmo Okra Strut

Call me Mr. Okra!!!

Some fried okra served up for you!!!

Eat my hat!!!

This is Joe (you lie) Wilson who has been in the news lately.

Don't you think you're getting a little carried away with this Okra stuff

Hillbillies must like Okra too!!

We saw tons of dancers. Every youngster in Irmo must be dancing.

This is the Annual Irmo SC Okra Strut.  It is a two day festival with bands, food parades etc.  This is a link to the history: http://irmookrastrut.com/history.htm

We got rained out the first night after the first band and then it rained right just before the end of the parade the second day.  However I think I got some interesting pictures.  BTW I personally don't like okra.

All that food makes my mouth water. But why was there a bomb truck at the Okra festival?

Great looking parade, with some neat vehicles. I love roasted corn on the cob. Nice set, Bill.

WOW.............we have okra in Asia too, except we call it the Lady's Finger. We normally cook them with curry or steam them and eat with chili paste. Fancy you have a Okra Festival !!!
