Thank you Doreen, Sonnia, Eduardo ( this dragonfly was almost 2 inches long and it has sat a while on my shoulder, looking around and then it went to the back of the chair where i took this pictures) and Lorraime for you nice comments.

They are also called King dragonfly. There are similar ones but green or blue, they called Queen.

Dank je wel Loes, Ik heb lange tijd ook weinig geluk gehad om ze te pakken te krijgen tot afgelopen zondag. Zit ik op een terras in Oisterwijk,krijg ik voor ruim een kwartier gezelschap van deze libel. Hij/zij bleef maar zitten alsof hij wilde poseren. Zat zelfs een poosje op mijn schouder. Al met al erg leuk maar wel veel geluk.

Gerard, pardon my ignorance but what is a "puchtrouh"? Perhaps it just means "punch-through", in other words, "good luck". Just curious....

Hello Noreen. My English is not so well;-) but what I try too say is "a little bit off persevere" (with a little help of my Dictionary) and thank you for your curiosity. It will helps me too use a more correct English.

Aha! that makes more sense... a little "perseverance" is needed. I recently purchased an excellent macro lens for my Pentax - I am looking forward to putting it to use. Next month I will travel to Scotland for a holiday so provided my system doesn't weigh too much, I will take it with me and practice. Hope it doesn't rain too much!

Small vocabulary tip: "too" spelled with two " o's" means "also". "...helps me 'to' use more correct...." is the correct way! Easy for me, I know!!
