Like trying to look through a misted window, the future is there, in front of us, but cannot be seen. And that is a blessing.

Wildthing said at 6:47 p.m. on Sep 30, 2009: Thank you, EDUARDO, NEUSINHA, THIERRY et KARINE, and RITA. I believe that if we could see what lies in store, we could not live with the present. It is now that we should be concerned with. Tomorrow will unfold all too soon.

Swedfinn said at 7:19 p.m. on Sep 30, 2009: it is good that way. We can go on reading our horoscopes and dream of that big CHANGE or OPPORTUNITY that they promise us. True or not but illusions are the essence of the life that keeps us going.
Snooway said at 7:19 p.m. on Sep 30, 2009: excellent tabblo, the words go perfectly with the image and vice versa. thanks.

ConnieL said at 9:36 p.m. on Sep 30, 2009: I'm glad we can't see the future...then we would either want to avoid it or to hurry it up. It's the old, "today is always here, tomorrow never comes, and yesterday is always gone". Today is what we have. :)
Debdog said at 10:02 p.m. on Sep 30, 2009: yes, if we could see the future we for sure may not be able to face what's coming/////best to take it AS it comes!:) great shot Mike! love it
Lifequest22 said at 10:06 p.m. on Sep 30, 2009: Life happens in the present. And staying in the present is not easy. We often waste much time worrying about the past and fretting about the future.
Charlespop said at 10:11 p.m. on Sep 30, 2009: Just think how boring things would be if we knew what was going to happen in the future. Suspense, thats what makes the world go round. Way cool tabblo !
DanMan said at 1:12 a.m. on Oct 1, 2009: Interesting perspective...
Lageho said at 2:57 a.m. on Oct 1, 2009: Nice. We can´t see the future, but it´s still there.
Wildthing said at 4:02 a.m. on Oct 1, 2009: I think the consensus is that we should live for today and let the future take care of itself. It is amazing how what we do now must alter the outcome, though. We affect life and people daily as we move through time, and also change what would have been outcomes. Powerful stuff. We should probably think more before we speak or act. As Jorma says, illusions are what keeps us going. Dreams and aspiration give us a goal to aim towards. But all we really need is love and laughter.
Thank you for your views, ANDRE, JORMA, SUE, SANDY, ENALDO, BOB, ROSANE, NOREEN, NOE, CONNIE, DEB, LINDA, CHARLES, DAN, and LARS.

Tishfish said at 7:06 a.m. on Oct 1, 2009: I agree with Mike, I certainly would not like to see the future, I prefer to live life as it comes.
Leftofcenter said at 8:18 a.m. on Oct 1, 2009: there's future and there's future. future of the planet. for our kids and their kids. and then there is our personal future: will I grow old and healthy, will I ever make that trip to Bali? stuff we shouldn't worry about too much. yes- the present. love and laughter and.. tabblo? :) like ThierryKarine said (in French) a simple photo for a great truth. you da best Fox.
PhotoPop said at 8:27 a.m. on Oct 1, 2009: A simple but a very effective composition, the b/w makes it pop. Excellent. Here is a bumper sticker quote I once saw: "Even people who believe everything is predestined look before they cross the street."

Wildthing said at 5:40 p.m. on Oct 1, 2009: Thank you, LOUISE. I think that every decision we make, however small, alters our future, and that of others. Maybe it's a responsibility, to think before we act, and say or do nothing that we would not want said or done to us. Surely that would improve all of our futures.
Jesusgoz said at 8:54 p.m. on Oct 1, 2009: Absolutamente inspirada.
YonderCreature said at 2:20 a.m. on Oct 2, 2009: My favourite part of this tabblo /photo is the streaking trail of condensation that rolled down the window. It's like the opposite of tears---usually tears blur our vision, yet these streaks actually give hints of clarity in an otherwise obscured view. Perhaps if we see the future with 'tears', we would value it more and make our present more meaningful. Perhaps we'd stop squandering the present if we see the present things that cause us most the pain or suffering or aggravation as that which strengthens/prepares us for a better future.
Siagian said at 3:02 a.m. on Oct 2, 2009: though the window may be misted, we are still able to discern whether it is day or night, clear or cloudy, sunny or rainy...hope is what keeps us going. without hope, there is nothing worth doing today... kudos Mike!
Wildthing said at 3:50 a.m. on Oct 2, 2009: Thank you, JESUS, YC, and WOODY. The fact that we cannot see our own impending fate, is surely what gives us the optimism to have hope and enjoy the journey. Getting older doesn't diminish the enjoyment of life, but does concentrate the mind on just how important each passing hour is.
