"Over the years that I have lived in Texas, I have visited many parts of the state an numerous small towns. Like many travelers, I have spent little time getting to know these towns as i passed through them on the way to a bigger city of my destination. I regret that I never really stopped to see what life was like in these small communities. For this exhibit, I spent time appreciating and understanding a bit of history, culture and uniqueness of selected small town of this great state. Many of these towns are now part of my journey through Texas. These towns represent what is ever so special and great about the Lone Star State." Richardo Romo |

As i viewed this exhibit I could not help but feel a semblance of where our great country has come from. It wasn't from tall tower or large businesses. It was from small towns and close friends. All of which are exhibited in these photos.

From the man working the corner store, to the mom and pop store in town, and all the way to the simple gesture of patriotism play a large roll in the humanites of our great nation. May this exhibit remind you of the work it takes to get there. |
