NEW YORK TRIP September 2009

Here are some highlights of my recent New York visit, although it's mainly for business purpose, I manage to squeeze in some fun & entertainment.

This is the first time my sons and I go to the US Open in Flushing Meadows... When we used to live in Hong Kong, we went every year to watch the Hong Kong Open, which attracted a number of world famous players... Tennis is one of our favorite sports...

We arrive to the US Open... We have some time to walk around before the game...

We watched the quarter finals, and stayed till past 1 am...

We are in Times Square, New York, where most of the meetings are being held...

A week end afternoon, Jeremy found a great place called Alice's Cup,  for English high tea... The place's decor is whimsical, a la " Alice in Wonderland" theme...

The choice of tea is wonderful and served in individual pot... There's nothing like a great cup of tea.

The scones are warm and fluffy and served with clotted cream and jam (the pumpkin scone is a must try), the  sandwiches are fresh and bountiful, but I prefer the very thin English finger sandwiches with cucumber or tomatoes.

With the whole work team, we go to the New York Yankee stadium... We invaded 2 booths with indoor and outdoor seatings, complete with hot dog and burger stations...

Despite the rainy weather, we all had a great time!

We attend the Time to Give gala event with a silent auction to benefit Maison Chance, the Vietnamese charity.  The theme of the party is Red, White & Black...

We are all having a grand time...

We are all seeing red!!!!

The theme is Carnival... We have some freak shows and acrobatics...

Great atmosphere

My sons are only joining us for a drink, then left to another party...

We enjoy a buffet dinner while watching the show

Ready to bid for the silent auction?

On the last meeting day, famous motivational speaker Mark Sanborn gave a speech and autographed his new book "The Fred Factor", very inspiring for achieving your personal best in business, in today's economic climate...

Above: Another very pleasant break during this trip is breakfast with good friends, Tuan & Quang, at the Four Seasons...

Left: A wonderful culinary experience at BarBao which is the subject for another Tabblo...
