Original and intriguing! Very well done.... I love the quotes, too, especially St. Augustine's, the first one.

Goodness Eduardo,, you have traveled everywhere, I am impressed. As for me I watch the travel shows on television and learn from other travelers such as Rick Steves and And a paticular Other Traveling Photographer who travels to far off places to take photos. Art Wolf. Look him up on the net. www.travelstotheedge.com You will enjoy him. Blessings in all your travels. Sincerely, Robbi

¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡Genial!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Empiezo mi día viajando... ¡¡Literalmente: ahí veo mi nombre, de camino a Ilhéus!! Collage - vida - ruta. Fabuloso, profundo y sutil.
Liliana said at 6:33 a.m. on Oct 7, 2009:
¡¡Falta Centroamérica!! ¿Vamos? Ja, ja, no me fui, volví.
Liliana said at 6:36 a.m. on Oct 7, 2009:
Uf...
Eduardo.affonso said at 7:00 a.m. on Oct 7, 2009:
DOREEN: Following St. Augustine's words, I would say that the world is a great book, but most of us remain still illiterate...

DAVID: The great Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa said that "travelling means missing countries and being constantly another person" (sorry for the bad translation!). I probably love to be someone else.

ROBBI: As you can see on the map, 2/3 of the world are still waiting for me... I, too, like travel shows on TV, and will check the sites, thanks!

CELIA: I have travelled almost as much as you... No, I did not visit Iraq (yet!) - that map was meant to show Turkey (North of Iraq).

LORRAINE: I was supposed to be in Russia right now, but had to postpone my trip (so much work to do). I will certainly celebrate my next birthday in the Philippines, after a few days in China - so the map will soon look much more red.

NOE: Gracias!

MIKE & CHARLES: You said almost the same thing, in different languages, quoting poets who probably never met - and I totally agree with both of them. Dreaming of a travel is already travelling, remembering a travel is still travelling - the whole trip iswhat counts, not just the places you visited.

- do Milton Nascimento).

NeusinhaGedoz said at 7:49 a.m. on Oct 7, 2009:
TRI-legal !!!
Ebucar said at 8:03 a.m. on Oct 7, 2009:
Senti falta do último passaporte. Consigo me identificar com todas as citações.
Leftofcenter said at 8:12 a.m. on Oct 7, 2009:
I forgot about that idea, it's the perfect one for you the globetrotter. with passports like these, they must give you that "suspicious look" at customs? :) I also keep maps, stubs to museums, from cafes, metro tickets (& old passeports of course!) they are better souvenirs than the photos sometimes. great tab, Edu. thx for the dedication. my line is always "it's not the destination, it's the journey...". bwana.
Sonnia said at 8:17 a.m. on Oct 7, 2009:
Obrigada!!!
Leftofcenter said at 8:21 a.m. on Oct 7, 2009:
dang, Mikey had already said wot I said.
Eduardo.affonso said at 8:26 a.m. on Oct 7, 2009:
ANNELIES: That is the problem when you let Mike comment first - he always says what we would like to say, and much better than we could ever do.

Mjpileggi said at 8:56 a.m. on Oct 7, 2009:
Great tabblo! I last summer I renewed my passport and unfortunately, I was not given my old/canceled passport. I was very upset because I had so many stamps in my book, including St. Petersburg, Tallin, Oslo, etc, from my Baltic trip in 2005; and the Ukraine in 2007. I'll just have to fill my new one!

I keep all of my maps. I used to keep all of my musuem stubs, restaurant bills, brochures, hotel receipts, business cards, etc. Ran out of room in my small office, so I created a few poster boards for my goodies: http://luvtotravel.homestead.com/poster.html
NeusinhaGedoz said at 10:13 a.m. on Oct 7, 2009:

¡¡¡¡Volví!!!!! Siempre vuelvo. ¡TOD!
Pkeener said at 11:40 a.m. on Oct 7, 2009:
i was hoping for a quote from Anne Tyler who wrote the Accidental Tourist!, but this tabblo was a whole different twist on the title. love it! love the title treatment and all your work in the layout. This is very cool and I envy your trips! You are taking the world, city by city. COngrats on TOD!
Liliana said at 11:40 a.m. on Oct 7, 2009:
Buschinho said at 12:04 p.m. on Oct 7, 2009:
Eduardo, Grüß Gott!

can you imagine .... I like it,
what a surprise ;-)

in the house of my parents I pinned lots of photos, boarding passes and things like this to a wall
and the quote of St. Augustinus is also somewhere there.

may I ask you when is your birthday ;-) ?!
Ana and I are going to visit the Philippines, too.
( maybe including a stop either in Hongkong, Kota Kinabalu or Palau, Inch Allah ... )
Hope to meet you, friend !!!
Ciao, Andreas

mais um TOD. Parabens pela criatividade. Vc deve ser o recordista de TODs!
Eduardo.affonso said at 1:45 p.m. on Oct 7, 2009:
ERIC: The best TODs are those totally unexpected...

MONICA: A passport is like a journal, it's part of one's memories. Why do the authorities insist in keeping them (when they expire) or damaging them (the way they did to mine)? My theory is: it's envy. I checke your site and it's simply great. I will go back again and again, because there are so many useful tips. Thank you a lot!

JAMES: Salamat, my friend.

PAM: Welcome back to my tabblos! I missed you. That's my target: take thw world. Wish I could take some other planets, too, but the techonology for trips to outer space are not available yet...

ANDREAS: Being conservative as I am, I usually celebrate my birthday always on the same date, year after year (it's already sort of a tradition, you know?): April 22nd. That's when I plan to be in Manila next year, to eat some buko pie with Myles. I will probably visit Shangai and Macau before. It would be great to meet you and Ana! I think we should invite also Marius, James, Joaquin, Dyowi, Sue and all the "pinoy gang" for a San Miguel (no baluts, please...).

Congrats on TOD!! You're a real globetrotter Eduardo!
Eduardo.affonso said at 5:26 p.m. on Oct 7, 2009:
PAT: Travelling is an addiction... I always come back dreaming of the next adventure.

THIERRY: I started traveling in my imagination, when I was a kid, reading maps. Then collecting stamps and post cards, exchanging letters with collectors from all over the world. Then learning languages (English, Spanish, Italian, Russian...). When I could finally take off to see other countries, I had already visited all of them through books, songs, stamps...

ANDRE: Only this? :-(

Obrigado, ROSANE.

LOES: There are 195 countries in the world, I have visited less than 22% of them... There is still a long way ahead, my friend. :-)
Liliana said at 6:22 p.m. on Oct 7, 2009:
¿No esperabas el TOD...? ¡No te creo! Yo sí.
Buschinho said at 6:50 p.m. on Oct 7, 2009:
ooops,
did you know that the immigration officers in the airport require FIRST TIME VISITORS for a BALUT ALL YOU CAN EAT AND ENDURE TEST to acquire 21 days visa free entry to the Philippines?!? ;-)

Survivors of this test get a highly recognized official certificate and will be awarded a years supply of Buko Pie including free shipping to Rio ;-)

My wife Ana is a Balut monster- she can eat 4 of them in one sitting! yes, it's kinda disgusting ;-)

btw, sayang, we are planning to visit the Philippines around January!
Ebucar said at 7:05 p.m. on Oct 7, 2009:

Lange said at 7:30 p.m. on Oct 7, 2009:
Mais um... Parabéns.
Eduardo.affonso said at 7:47 p.m. on Oct 7, 2009:
ANDREAS: Sorry I can't anticipate my birthday to January (I would become an aquarian, and I am already used to be Taurus...), and I was told April is the best part of the year to visit the Philippines.

Anyway, I don't think I would need a 21 days visa - maybe a "San Miguel All You Can Drink Test" would be enough for a 14 days visa (7 extra days available with a personal version of my favorite pinoy song, Babae po Ako (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUASCOppQDU).

The typical dish of Minas Gerais (where I was born) is "galinha ao molho pardo" (chicken cooked in its own blood). It's delicious, and I eat as much as I can - but I can't even think of eating a duckling boiled alive. No matter what people say about it being a powerful afrodisiac...
Rita.Mandarino said at 9:02 p.m. on Oct 7, 2009:
Liliana said at 9:08 p.m. on Oct 7, 2009:
