Buried deep in the woods on a treacherous path with a stone canyon looming above you and a steep forested drop next to you, a wondrous waterfall hides. |

On the left is the canyon wall and on the right is a pile of debris that has fallen over the edge and accumulated. In the middle is a human, for scale. |

Trees, dirt, sticks, anything in the forest, hangs on the angled hillside as the water flows over the edge. I once saw a photo of this waterfall with a dead deer at the bottom of the falls. It's not easy to keep a good toehold here. |

The canyon is beautifully stained with minerals from the water flow. |

Here, again, a shot of the falls with a human, for scale. |

You can climb down the massive pile of debris and walk around the base of the falls, looking up at the edge above you. |

The beginning of the massive pile of debris. |

It was snowing while we were there, but the snow instantly melted on contact, leaving behind droplets glistening on all the surfaces. |

No matter how sunny it is, sunlight does not reach this area at all, and surprisingly, it is much warmer than the surrounding area. |

Even in a slight snowstorm, this waterfall still has the bright feel of a very vibrant forest. |

Lest you start feeling confident, all you must do is look up and see the trees, hundreds of years old, clinging to the edge of the canyon, ready to fall in at any time. |
