Athens October 09

Ancient Agora in Greece.  The Temple above is one of the most preserved temples of ancient Greece.

We loved the ruins here as well, but the temple was just superb.

above is a church within the complex, which is the most modern building in ancient agora dedicated to the holy apostles

Above - A walk around Adrinou next to Ancient Agora was amazing.  There is also a wonderful restaurant called Tu Kouti which made brilliant food.

On the top left Mukti is enjoying her wine at Tu Kouti.  Below on the left is a photo of Tu Kouti..... really charming

Mukti trying to drink water from the water fountain is definitely worth the money spent on the trip ;)

A walk around Plaka towards the evening was really good.  THe way the light hit the buildings and not to mention Mukti was something that I had to capture.

On the way to Plaka from Adrinou, we had a couple of ancient ruins, ROman agora and Hadrians Library.

Whats the point in going to greece is you can click a snap of an ancient CAR :)  I dont know why I like this picture.

On the way to Plaka from Adrinou you come across an ancient Library - Hadrians library.

The Acropolis was majestic - with the Parthenon and the Theatre of Dionysus.

Every city in Ancient Greece had an Acropolis (which is set on the highest area within the city.

The Acropolis (of Athens) is obviously the most famous

On the top and the left is a view of the Parthenon

The Theatre of Dionysus within the Acropolis was brilliant.  There seems to have been chairs for the VIPs as well.

On the left is the temple of Zues after which we got a bit tired of going to the ancient monuments :)

Below are some pictures of the Classic Baby Grand - a boutique hotel where we stayed.  The picture on the left is the reception area and the pic on the right is the bar. It looks nicer than it really was, in the photos trust me :)
