Seven more years of light Part V

~~THANK GOD ~Mohammad did have his surgery in October  of 2002 ~~

For Cheryl and I...

flying to St. Louis to meet Mohammad as he came from Syria and being with him through his surgery has been one of the highest honors and blessings of our lives~

Cheryl waiting, praying and sleeping during the nine hours of surgery

"Hello Papa"

a precious phone call from Syria where his family waited to hear how he came through the nine hours of heart surgery~

The surgeon with the "golden hands"...

Thank you from all of our hearts Dr. Moon~

His first bite of real food after the surgery...

No more jello Mahommy!

How do you say  THANK YOU  for the gift of your Life?

You become a doctor and help others ~ That is what he did with compassion and kindness~

We pray for his patients who will miss their tall doctor with the adorable smile~

We pray for his friends and colleagues who will miss his character and brilliance~

We pray for his family in Syria for they have become our own family~

GROWING STRONGER~~~

If you have ever wanted to see real life angels with your own eyes...take a look here.  Above

Thank you so much to all of the Doctors and nurses who helped Mohammad during his surgery in 2002~

Thank you to the National Marfan Foundation for all of their support through the years~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The number seven is usually equated with the idea of perfection.
Significant to this story...
      After his surgery our beloved Mohammad had exactly precious seven years added to his life on this earth~
His heart was strong but an overwhelming infection acquired on his travels unexepectedly ended his life on October 9th 2009.   He had just turned 30 years old.
Mohammad was not afraid to live life to the fullest...he rarely complained about the pain in his joints or about how his back hurt him constantly...
Having the Marfan Syndrome did not hold him back from his dreams.
"Mahommy,  it was our sweetest blessing to be a part of your dreams on this earth...
You will always be our shining light my son...
the light that guides us home."
From your Mama Rhonda    October 26 2009
Love those sunglasses on you~~~~
~Welcome home~
A rose just for you Mahommy~
A smile to remember forever...
The Summer I Remember
Is this what heaven is?
Sweet summer days of laughter
and not a tear of sorrow...
Letting each new day unfold
with no fear of tomorrow~
For Cheryl
I love you so much,
Mom
Some Links for more info on The Marfan Syndrome and related disorders...
We counted it up and since we first met him nine years ago...if you total up all of his visits...Mohammad stayed approximately one and a half years with us~
All we can say is "Thank you God, for knowing how much we needed each other"...
You know my favorite saying my dear tabblo friends:
Love is Forever~
Hugs,
Rhonda
Very touching, Rhonda... So, Mohammad has lived with your family one and a half years, complete, from his surgery? And the parents couldn“t fly to the States? This must be so sad for them... and for him, very difficoult, too.
Thanks for telling us about this Syndrome, it is important to know.
faith and trust in yourself and each other are two very important elements in a human life, essential really. You've made a very tender tribute to your friend
Welshchick said at 1:00 a.m. on Nov 7, 2009:
We needed Mohammad...he needed us. When people need each other...perhaps they can love and trust easier. All I know is...for Mohammad and my family and I... I believe that together we have experienced a precious bond that is priceless and that continues to bless us.
