Moabjeeper said at 7:55 a.m. on Oct 26, 2009: Wonder colours Mike. I like the cattle shots. There is a sign in a zoo that has a mirror. "Look into the mirror and see the most destructive animal on earth."
Wildthing said at 8:03 a.m. on Oct 26, 2009: So true, BOB. We have a knack of destroying that which is beautiful and precious.
NeusinhaGedoz said at 8:07 a.m. on Oct 26, 2009: Mike, help me, please: I can not choose the most beautiful! This tabblo is my ... my favorite and my candidate for TOD. Fantastic Mike! A favorite! !!!
NeusinhaGedoz said at 8:10 a.m. on Oct 26, 2009: I found the most beautiful, Mike: 2, 7, 11 and 20.
Erich said at 8:10 a.m. on Oct 26, 2009: great set of good nature shots with a really sad aspect to it..we see things like this much too often. What do people think they do to our earth or can they think at all?
Wildthing said at 8:11 a.m. on Oct 26, 2009: Thank you so much, NEUSINHA. My favourite is #1, the track leading out of the shade and into the light through the forest.
Wildthing said at 8:14 a.m. on Oct 26, 2009: Thank you, RAINER. Yes, it's sad that people with no self-worth show nothing but disrespect for the planet, and for other people in general. They have ugly hearts and minds.
Andre. said at 8:58 a.m. on Oct 26, 2009: Great walking shots. And we just can't go without garbage...
Merja-zerga said at 9:01 a.m. on Oct 26, 2009: Merci Mike de mettre à l'affiche cette belle nature. L'irrespect de l'homme est intolérable. Merci et bravo. ThierryKarine
Mel_Snyder said at 9:06 a.m. on Oct 26, 2009: Mike, the marks of waste in the wilderness are are the same everywhere. At sea, we find the same. While living in NYC many years ago, I watched teenagers walking along upper 3rd Ave happily walking with fast food, tossing wrappers and cups as they finished with them - despite waste containers on every corner. It's part of a culture of irresponsibility that we who remember "Camelot" find it difficult to brook. As a Boy Scout, I was taught to take my waste out of the forest or to bury it deeply. No one teaches that today - and common sense isn't common enough to substitute.
Thanks for capturing beautifully what remains of the wild.
Chilla said at 9:08 a.m. on Oct 26, 2009: This is an 80% wonderful Tabblo! Your picture of the Warbler is fantastic. I know we have to face the reality of man's destructive behaviour, but the 20% reality destoys the beauty of this Tabblo for me as I am sure it spoilt your walk for you!
Pachito said at 9:13 a.m. on Oct 26, 2009: What a shame MAN is leaving his marks everywhere he goes. Thank you for reminding us to preserve our environment.
Chaitiamma said at 9:34 a.m. on Oct 26, 2009: Sure is a very fruitful walk; with so many excellent shots !!! Sad about the dump site though.
Wildthing said at 9:38 a.m. on Oct 26, 2009: I appreciate your comments, ANDRE, THIERRY et KARINE, MEL, CELIA, and PATRICK.
I came across the broken bottles and illegally dumped rubbish when walking through an otherwise beautiful area. I felt the need to show the ugliness that too many people introduce to nature. It's like the glorification of war: We should be shown a lot more of its horrific consequences. Balance and truth ( which are both sadly in short supply) can help bring about true awareness and hopefully a change for the better.
Wildthing said at 9:42 a.m. on Oct 26, 2009: Thanks, DAVID. Yes, it's sad that people seem intent on despoiling nature.
Bravemoonbearer said at 10:21 a.m. on Oct 26, 2009: An excellent composition and the first photo is a killer.I wish humans would follow that road to being more gentle to nature and appreciate her gifts to us.Sadly, man leaves its marks in very destructive ways that will always come back to haunt us.Wise up people.Excellent message,Mike.
Wildthing said at 10:30 a.m. on Oct 26, 2009: Thank you, SANDY. Much appreciated.

EMA said at 1:34 p.m. on Oct 26, 2009: This walk among trees is wonderful! I'm very fond of trees. I think they are the most wonderful beings of Nature. I wish man would respect them more. Agree with you about "...ugly hearts and minds". My favorite photo is #1 because it means to me that we should always walk to the light. Cheers! :)
Wildthing said at 2:31 p.m. on Oct 26, 2009: Nice to recieve your comments, RITA, JONA, PATTY, and EDITE.

Leftofcenter said at 4:23 p.m. on Oct 26, 2009: first pics looked like the cabin's backyard (except for the buffalo with long bangs), but then the zen walk turned ugly... I'm surprised at the sofas!! we leave our old furniture at the curb, if the little green men don't pick it up (for flea markets) then the garbage truck will. no need to throw it into nature like that! thank you for the last shot...
Tishfish said at 4:23 p.m. on Oct 26, 2009: Gorgeous ! ! ! ! Love the little bird shots.

JuDeck said at 11:12 p.m. on Oct 26, 2009: A junk pile among the treasures. Loved the first few photos MIke. I could feel the forest's dampness.
Noe said at 1:54 a.m. on Oct 27, 2009: Just beautiful Mike, everything but the marks of man. Very good shots :o)
Welshchick said at 5:09 a.m. on Oct 27, 2009: I say we post lookouts and we NAB the litterbugs and make them clean up the marked areas...they can learn the lessons that their parents never taught them... Nice photos Mike!
Wildthing said at 5:32 a.m. on Oct 27, 2009: Thanks, LINDA, JUDE, NOE, and RHONDA. I thought the junk gave balance to reality. It was there, where it shouldn't be, and so I included it. Yeah, RHONDA, that's what we need, Litter Police, or snipers in trees:)
RosaneMar said at 8:25 a.m. on Oct 27, 2009: Excellent Mike. Tabblo and layout beautiful!!!
Robya said at 10:40 a.m. on Oct 27, 2009: Love the Animals in this, and the little birdy. Beautiful House too. Nice tabblo from a nice walk, too bad the garbage is left in nature to ruin it.

Loes said at 5:32 p.m. on Oct 27, 2009: This tabblo is beautiful and ugly at the same time Mike, it's a shame what people cause in nature, it is totally irresponsible behaviour.

Sirnicolay said at 8:51 p.m. on Oct 27, 2009: So many things to see in the wild. This tab makes me want to go out and shoot in the wild too. Thanks for sharing. :)

Ira said at 12:59 p.m. on Oct 29, 2009: Contrast! Bright and realistic. A wonderful nature and destructive traces of the man
Wildthing said at 3:58 p.m. on Oct 29, 2009: I wanted to show the good, the bad, and the ugly. Thank you for your comments, SUE and IRA
ConnieL said at 12:41 p.m. on Oct 31, 2009: My kind of walk! Too bad there are always those who don't respect the beauty around them...I often wonder if it even occurs to them that someone will have to clean up their mess.
Wildthing said at 12:46 p.m. on Oct 31, 2009: I don't think they possess the intelligence to care about the mess they make, CONNIE. Thanks for commenting.
Fabio_DL said at 3:33 p.m. on Oct 31, 2009: Great Tabblo! A classic one! I was very pleased to see that you finished it in a positive note. That's the way to go, I think. Thanks much, Mike, for another set of wonderful shots!
Wildthing said at 3:35 p.m. on Oct 31, 2009: Thank you, FABIO. I appreciate your comments.
Moorlerche said at 6:38 p.m. on Oct 31, 2009: Mike this a successful combination of peaceful forrest and rural scenes combined with critics to human ruthlessness. It just fit with a scene in the bus tonight, where teenage girl was throwing out a piece of garbage through the door onto the forlawn of a house at the bus station. And her mother sat next to her and said nothing. As if this was behaviour was totally ok.
Wildthing said at 5:33 a.m. on Nov 1, 2009: Thank you, ANKE. I believe that the sins/inadequacies/attitudes of some parents are passed on. They imprint their children with negative qualities.
DanMan said at 6:37 p.m. on Nov 1, 2009: Amazing pictues, all this trash looks so ugly! I just love the pics of the wild bird and the bull!
Wildthing said at 6:41 p.m. on Nov 1, 2009: Thanks, DAN. I just took what I saw, and decided to show the reality of rubbish among beauty.
