The Morning Ted Kennedy Died
 
I was half-alseep in the forward birth of my Ericson 38 in Mattapoisett Harbor, MA, listening to BBC and heard the sad news that Ted Kennedy had passed away in nearby Hyannis. I arose and shot this image of the lighthouse on the point, still lit. A few seconds after this image, it went out - a silent testimonial to the end of the sailing Kennedy clan.

Poignant image. I remember hearing on the news that JFK had been assassinated in '63. Then of Bobby suffering the same fate. And now Ted has gone. Seems to have marked stages of my life.
