"Where are the photos of the Gagaku musicians and dancers ! " you shout . I am sorry but I was unable to take photos during the concert. These guys (There were no women. Only men can belong to the Imperial Household Orchestra . ) had some really fantastic clothes . Some of their instruments are worth over $100,000. They play really , REALLY , old golden oldies. Some of the numbers performed at this concert were from the Heian Period......which means they were about 1,500 years old ! One of the cool things about the concert hall was that the floor was covered with gravel.... To learn more about Gagaku , just go to wikipedia and search Gagaku.
