R.K. St. Franciscuskerk in Oudewater - Holland

Three-aisled neo-Gothic cruciform which in 1881 simultaneously was designed with the adjoining rectory by architect John Everhardus Margry.

 

The balanced and beautifully detailed building is hardly changed inside and outside.

The slender tower is visible from miles around and dominates, along with Michael Church, the silhouette of Oudewater.

Dears Loes, It is a very beautiful church, with a tall tower. The inside has so much art and color! And we also can see the Fall vegetation around the building. Gorgeous! Thank you for the wonderful photos and for the historic plan that you have attached to this Tabblo!

Le style Néo-Gothique est très beau et impressionnant!
Il y a une telle différence avec les églises Espagnoles, qui sont il faut l'avouer , beaucoup plus claires et accuillantes, tu ne trouves pas?

Thanks Anke, Celia, Bob, Ira David and Fabio, unfortunately there was a closed fence and I could not go inside to make more pictures.
