I have just been watching Andre's link. I am of the opinion that I have absolutely no idea about global warming and have acknowledged that for a long time. However, regardless of whether this is myth or fact, the real fact is that we are creating havoc with our planet, whether by cutting down trees in the Amazonian rain forests and destroying our natural world or causing respiratory disease amongst children because of pollution in our inner cities and we need to be greener and cleaner. Thank you Fabio for opening the debate!

Before the industrial revolution, we killed each other, but didn't have much effect on our beautiful planet. Now, we still kill each other, but are killing the Earth as well. We are the problem: The cause, not the cure! Good intentions are straw in the wind, it's action that counts.

here in the Philippines, we have suffered a great loss because of uncharacteristic weather patterns. many lives were lost. people attribute weather changes to global warming and other sorts of illegal trades like logging and quarrying. i hope this message gets across and will serve to educate the millions of people around the globe.

Fabio, você trouxe ao meu pensamento um livro intitulado "Pés Nús Sobre a Terra Sagrada". Trata-se de depoimentos de índios americanos sobre a destruição do meio ambiente pelos brancos. Em uma frase muito simples, um chefe indígena chamado "Touro Sentado" diz: "não destrua o que veio antes de você".

I think that, in the process, we'll learn more about the changes that are happening in different parts of the world (please see Liliana and Ricky's comments above), and we will become more familiar with the discussions. We are not here to defend global warming or non global warming. We are here to defend the health of our planet - our health. And for that, we need to change habits. Mike is right: "it's action that counts." Celia is also right: "we need to be greener and cleaner." Neusinha is right: "do not destroy what came before you." Waltinho is right: "We are in an imbroglio." Andre, Eduardo, Deb, Thierry and Karine, Rosane, Loes, and Doreen are right - let's express ourselves about this subject. Thanks again, and let's think about what we can do for our beloved Earth.

The idea of us properly recycling our old sandals while they chemtrailing us to death as we speak is just total insanity. Period. No Copenhagen gonna cover it up. Not for me at least.

My observations telling me that environment and weather have changed. It could be a normal period or not. And our fun society is not environment friendly. I like it to discuss with you and I hope we get closer... ;-)
