Southbury, CT in Fall: Single-Lens Exercise

Because I expected the weather to be awful, I left home with just my Nikkor 35mm f2 lens on my D300, for shooting indoors. When the weather broke unexpectedly, and I had a chance to shoot some fall colors, I was without my normal lens inventory, and - most missed - my Moose 81A/polarizing filters. My son Aaron has constantly told me he thinks the 35mm f2 Nikkor is the sharpest lens he's ever used, and this was my chance to find out. I think he's right.

Much more than the type of camera or lenses, the sensibility of the photographer is. They are photos of my style. Congratulations.

well the lens is not the only sharp tool :) your eye for good light and composition are seen here. I really like all of them, in particular 5,6,7,8 :) ....the curve of the bank, the wall, the long path shot, and the beautiful silhouette.

a fast lens with the filters, make for pristine and gorgeous photos, but the eye and the hand make it all possible.

Nr. two shows a colourful forest in contrast to the horse and red houses, that's very good and calm!
