This is a group of three lionesses and two cubs one of the lionesses had got side-tracked and we were hopeful that they would hunt.but caught these cute shots instead! |

These two cubs are 7 months old |
This lion was keeping watch over his buffalo kill. There were jackals, hyena and vultures all waiting for their opportunity! |

They look pretty harmless don't they! We were so close at times one could almost touch them! |

These two seemed to be totally oblivious to our presence and continued regardless! The rest of the pictures are staying in my album! |

This lion behaviour was spooking the elephants. This was one occasion where I was able to photograph the elephants charging. The funny thing was the lions went and hid in the bushes!!! The male is on the right of the picture and the female can be seen in the bush! Eventually the elephants just turned and went away. |

Maybe not quite so harmless! Those teeth look pretty scary! |

We caught up with the lioness and cubs after they had killed this warthog. All that was left was the head! |

They seemed quite happy to allow the young ones to have the head! |

This poor lion was covered in flies in the early evening |

This is a marking spot |

A good place for sharpening the claws |

The lionesses were around half a mile away and fast asleep! |
These are a different pair of cubs. These are only five months old and very cute!!! |

Looking for mum |

This was such a priviledge to see this mother feeding her cub. Photograph was taken under spot-light conditions. |

It is possible to go on safari and never see a lion, but we were fortunate to spend time with several different groups of lions. We saw them at different times of the day and this can really have an effect on the way they look as the light can be so different throughout the day.Lions spend around 18 hours a day asleep but we were lucky to experience so many activities with several groups of lions. |
