A bridge, some mannequins and a few other things.

I went down to New York with the lovely Banafsheh and some other talented photographers. I have more images than are here but as I use film I couldn't afford to scan them all right now. These images are what I picked out to share with my tabblriends.

From this photographic experience I have leaned the importance of looking everywhere in your picture. I have also discovered that I have a secret obsession with mannequins.

I have to thank Jeff for this idea

You are the best, CAITLIN. From the perspectives of the bridge to the fantastic pics #20 and 23, everything here is great. I had already noticed your obsession with mannequins. You and Banafsheh wandering around in NY? Wow! I'm curious to see her photos, too. Have a wonderful New Year!

Thanks guys. How observant of you Eduardo :) All of the daytime shots were just taken from the footpath of the Brooklyn Bridge, no fancy work :)

Absolutely fantastic!! It was worth the wait to see your work again! I can't pic a fave, but I am partial to the leg shot! Peace and Happiness to you.

You know, every time I look at your work I take away something to think about or try myself...you really have a great eye.

Love the bridge shots. Mannequins make great subjects. We used to have one (a headless one, no less) that we spray painted silver and then dressed her up for all the holidays. She had party hats at New Years, lights at Christmas, boas & lingre for Valentine's. She's put away in storage these days - wish I'd taken some photos of her - I'd send em to ya! Ha! Seriously - enjoy your work!

I really like the mannequin shots, especially the ones with reflections in the windows. It creates so many layers to look at within one image. Great work!

Beautiful photos and they're complimented by your excellent tabblo arrangement. They tell a story of hectic site seeing, shopping and a few moments of relaxation. I'm especially intrigued by the image of the masked mannequins with the mirrored drawers and the semi-mirrored window with its reflected perspective diagonals that keep the eyes sweeping over the image looking for interesting details.

super photos!! I wish I could have made the trip! And, heh -- in college, my portfolio project on a year-long photo course was mannequins/reflections in windows! :-) So you're in good company with that, if I do say so myself ;-)
