Groton, MA Christmas Tree Burning 2007

The Groton Fire Department burns all of the town Christmas trees in a spectacular fashion, the pile is collected and then doused with gasoline and lit on fire with a flaming arrow. We went this year to see the festivities. There was a great crowd and quite a few trees.

We liked the image of the firetruck with the bonfire behind it as we were heading out to dinner.

Wow! Our city mulches them and uses them to line paths in parks and the zoo. It's not as spectacular as this though...
