Converting to the Simpler Side

How cool and simple is the box. There isn't a lot of "stuff" inside this like a Windows machine. I have learned to love this simplicity.

I almost forgot to take pictures of the action as we opened the new family computer. I can't imagine going back to a Microsoft machine for work.

So other than the monitor (which was also the cpu), and the keyboard/mouse, this is the only other package.  The quick start manual and a very cool remote control.  It controls DVD play, itunes and more.  How cool is that?

Here you see the old machine on the right, and the new machine on the left.  I can't really say I have found anything I miss about Windows or that old machine.

I got very jealous of the family's new computer. And since I needed a new computer myself (I am changing jobs - no pun intended)... Well ...

And my final picture, here is the macbook, running very fast, and even running windows XP under Parallel. Windows booted and ran smoother under Mac, than on my Dell notebook.

Steve - you've done good!

AWESOME Tabblo. MAC's RULE. I am coveting your Powerbook...I spent a good hour at the Mac store last Sunday and almost bought the 20" imac...but they are coming out with a QUAD processor, so I decided to bite the bullet for a while longer. I can't even create Tabblos on my old mac..right now am using a pretty cool 17" windows laptop, but I miss the smiley face of apple. I bet You will never go back to the dark side! your family will never see you again....

Very cool! I am a Mac man myself. Made the mistake a few years ago of buying a PC (Windows) for the family computer, and that thing has been nothing but problems. Can't tell you how many times I wanted to toss it out the window! :O) I love my Mac! It DEFINITELY makes likfe much easier. Enjoy the 17 inch laptop. Very nice!

In the next year it'll be time for a computer upgrade and we have talked of a Mac - think this just confirms our train of thought!

*wiping up the drool* Love Macs. Started with a mac way back when it was THE ONLY machine for graphics. Sadly my latest employment incarnations required working with PCs. At least I'm multi-functional between the two. Congrats Bob on your great new purchase!
