Back in December I was charged with the unenviable task of getting myself from Leeds to the Scottish Highlands for a work site visit. I had 36 hours to get myself to Inverness, rent a car and proceed to drive 60 miles north into the middle of nowhere to carry out a landscape appraisal. Then get back. My journey began at 5:30am when I left my flat to catch a train to Manchester Airport. By 12:15 I was in Inverness, and by 14:00 I was lost! I did enjoy it though. It had been years since I'd been this far north in Scotland and the scenery was breathtaking. I didn't have much time to stop, but I did have my camera with me. Oh, and it was very, very cold. |

By the end of the day I was completely exhausted and it was back to Inverness to get some kip before catching the ealy morning flight back to Manchester and then on to work. Not before a little drink though! |
