St Marys Lunatic Asylum Re-Touched

Having learnt some interesting new editing techniques, I decided to go back over some of my older stuff. I know it wasn't that long since I posted this original Tabblo, but I quite like some of the changes, plus there's been some interesting additions.

I just can't get enough of that diffused glow filter!

Thanks for looking, I hope you think it was worth a re-post.

I think I got a better feel for the place w/a little retouching. It gave it more a sense of decay for me - I could see all the peeling paint/paper - it made it more real as opposed to abstract. Nice job!

Nice work... I like Photoshop's capabilities as well. My concern is when it starts to overtake and abuse the photo, or when it's used to hide really bad photography (although we all like to play with bad photos from time to time!). I think you've done a good job of enhancing your existing work and you've definitely used Photoshop in a way that changes the mood a bit, and doesn't overtake and abuse your existing photos. However in all honesty I think your photography is already strong. I like the original one just as much, but I see what you're going for in this one and it's a great job.

Great shots and I love the effects. Really made the already spooky setting more sinister. I like the picture the third picture of the building and the person standing. Truly spooky. Great job and worth the re-post.
