I am not going to Mardi Gras, but wanted to make a fun Tabblo for the occasion! I have been a few times and it's too CRAZY for me!

It must be a crazy occasion from what I've ever seen on television. This is a great tabblo to celebrate the Mardi Gras, with the objects so much associated with it, as are the masks and beads. Nice presentation and composition Pam.

You made a GREAT Tabblo and hopefully you'll find some place near by that does a celebration you can participate in and then share with us here. This was a GREAT Tabblo (gotta say it again!)

go to Mobile ALabama instead. THey put on wonderful parades and incidently, the very first mardi gras was held there and not N'awlins.

Here in Portugal we celebrate Carnival since today (Saturday) to Mardy Gras. With masks, parades and party dances everywhere. :-)

MERCI Everybody! When I lived in Southern Louisiana, I did go to the small town Mardi Gras' and did enjoy them. I hope you found the link to "The Fess" interesting as ZIPPY did. I really like his music.

Happy Mardi Gras! Love the colors. I'm not going to Mardi Gras, but will be in Boston for St Patty's Day and that's a whole different "carnival".

Came back to see this again. Wish I could "go down to New Orleans" and be "the Zulu King". Than make it my standin' place until I find plenty of Zulu Queens...

THANKS again guys! These colors are traditional Mardi Gras colors,(except the blu)and I wanted to match the lyrics to the beads..EDU I am sure you could be the KIng of your own Mardi Gras"KREWE", but you must pick only one Queen..Well, JASON, you can get the beads, but NOBODY's gonna buy them from you. Sorry.:) The beads in the pic are from 3 Mardi Gras' I went to many years ago! I hope you all went to the link and found the song by Professor Longhair. It is a fun tune.
