Pink Avalanche Lily

Pink Avalanche Lily

(Erythronium revolutum)

..note the stamen, robust petals, and streaks of pink.

It is  often identified as a Pink Fawn Lily,

however, a Pink Fawn Lily is almost rose in color.

Very tiny, these springtime lilies

don't last very long.

The last photo is of its seed pods.

This is my favourite flower. You have done an excellent job of this tabblo and I have learnt something new, the fact that not every pink Erythronium is a Pink Fawn Lily! My favourite shot is the second from the bottom on the left - such an exquisite colour.
