Cernica Monastery

In order to take advantage of a sunny day, me and a friend took our bicycles and started a small trip towards Cernica Monastery, located at about 10km near Bucharest, in a lovely environment. The monastery dates from 1608 and it got new additions in time, coming to be one of the largest in Romania.

I was wondering what was going on. It is some time now since your posted your last tabblo.
A good job as always. I happen to know the place quite well from a couple of trips there and this tabblo pictures it very well indeed. The details of the wall paintings are remarcable. I also like the way you used the sun in the second and forth shot. It is many times difficult to shoot the sun straight forward even with SLR cameras, not to mention a conventional digital device. What settings did you use?
Once again, congratulations!

Thanks for your comments.
Doc, I can't adjust much on my humble point-and-shoot camera. The photos with the sun back light that you're asking about were taken with these settings: 1/1600s f/8 ISO 50.
