Yeah so... I have a bit of a thing for Dunny. Just a bit. I don't go overboard or anything (there's no Kidrobot store in Boston!) |

|
Dunny are "designer toys," sold in blind boxes -- you don't know which one you'll get until you buy and open it. They're designed by "urban" artists (grafitti/stencil artists, mainly), produced in limited editions and sold for about $6 per figure. They become collectible, and each series has one or two very rare models that aren't pictured on the box, called "chases" -- the pom-pommed S3 Feric chase (Feric is the artist; S3 is Series 3) at top fetches $300 today.
I'm not a serious collector but I think they're cute ;-)

After I got a few dupes I created a "trading network" by turning Lo & Nell (and their mom) onto Dunny too [evil laugh]. They made Dunny Town, and a big Dunny banner! |

|
The two above, "Cheez" and "Ribeye," were designed by Planet Propaganda for the Cooper Hewitt's shop and sold in conjunction with their Design Life Now exhibit. There are often extra things like this, in between series issues. I don't usually buy them but meat & cheese, I couldn't resist.

Flying Fortress, above, wasn't a chase but it was a limited production piece in Series 3. It goes for around $120 now. I don't buy Dunny post-retail and so far, I don't want to part with any of the in-demand ones I have; current values for entertainment purposes only :-) |
