Venice - European Impressions

As a part of our European Impressions tour, we spent two days in the Venice area. One of those days we visited the island of Burano, on which I have previoulsy posted a Tabblo, and the other day in the city of Venice, viewing the beautiful architecture of St. Mark's Square,  the small shopping alleyways leading off of that area where we saw beautiful Murano glassware, and taking a gondola ride around the canals of Venice.

Atfter a wonderful day exploring beautiful Venice, we returned to the dockside near St. Mark's Square to queue up for our water taxi back to our tour bus, which was ready to take us back to our hotel in Mestre.....next day we are off to Rome!

Another great tabblo, Joan. Venice is my favourite city in Europe, so much so that I shall revisit it this fall. You have successfully found lots of neat angles - well done.

Love to go on tour with you, it's free and show more beauty than I probably would see with my own eyes. Your photography is breathtaking and the subjects perfect. The angles and the colors great. I love the "birdman" but it's the whole tabblo that is so great

JOAN This is so fun. So many things to look at. You did a great job with all of it. I especially like the pic of the pigeons in St mark's Square.

You got some great shots Joan. This is another place on my list of places to visit! I may not be going there for some time but I can enjoy it though your pictures.

I love love love Venice and never get tired of looking at shots of such a photogenic city. I especially like your detail shots of San Marco. Great tabblo!
