Before I took this picture a FUEL truck was here...

CAPTAIN SCHLELER FLEW BOMBING MISSIONS ON THE B-17 and THE B-24.    HE FLEW IN THE B-25, BUT NOT ON BOMBING MISSIONS.  SUCH AN INTERESTING MAN TO TALK TO.  I WAS BLESSED TO MEET HIM.

 

 

 

 WE BOUGHT A PICTURE OF THE THREE PLANES WE CRAWLED THROUGH THAT DAY AND THEN HAD CAPTAIN SCHLELER AUTOGRAPH IT FOR US.  (GRIN)  WHAT A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE TO HEAR HIM SHARE SOME OF HIS STORIES FROM HIS TIME FIGHTING IN THE WAR.  A TRUE BLESSING TO LISTEN TO.

This man had great stories about the B-17 and how he would help release the BOMBS that dropped.

YES ... THIS IS THE END OF THIS TABBLO ... IN MORE WAYS THEN ONE .... BUT... (or is it BUTT???)  the funny thing about this picture is ... my son was supposed to be taking a picture of me by the tire of a plane, and instead he had a silly grin on his face and was pointing the camera a different direction.  Then I saw what he was capturing... !!  Her tattoo... and a bit more..hahaha..... !!

Well he was giggling ... so I knew it had to be funny. He couldn't wait to show me... and then I realized... it revealed much MORE then a tattoo... and we all had a good laugh. It seemed appropriate for this tabblo since it was more a mixture of things from that day. The other tabblos from that day will mainly point out the features of the 3 different bombers we looked at.

By the way ... she was showing about 3 inches of crack ... so be glad I did not put a bigger picture of it on here.. hahahaa.... Though ... the boys did ZOOM IN and check it out after Ryan took it!!! They had a lot of fun together that day Tammy. It was one of our "MEMORY MAKER DAYS" ... like we did all the time when he was younger... after his Dad Died. He still remembers certain days like that ... or this ... which will forever be embeded into his memory. I'm thankful for every one of them too...!!

I think that it runs in the family to have a pic like that as last in the tabblo, and then NOT blur the butt!! Very great collection of photos Sheila, interesting and fun captions. You are a great tabblo maker Sheila FUN AND GREAT!!!!

OSCAR & RETA ... thanks so much. It was a fun tabblo putting the blend of older looking with the regular ... !!


KARSTEN - I knew the END would intrique some people ... and I knew it was sort of following with Tammy's Peacock tabblo ... but when you have a picture like that ... which stirred up so much interest and laughter that day ... it was just hard to NOT include it. So alas .. it made the tabblo too.


ANDERS - If I had blurred the butt you would not have seen the exquisite tattoo. You did notice she had a tattoo... RIGHT ???? :)))) I guess I should have made a close up of just the tattoo also in the tabblo so that you would realize there was more in that picture then crack. !!! :)


TAMMY - What can I say. We just "crack" each other up !!! :)


TIM - Yes ... my son is finding out that photography can be fun ... and even made the comment last night ... he wants to go out shooting pics sometimes. He found out he could do all these crazy sepia and B & W things to pictures along with many other things... and now we seem to be fighting for time on the computer... to play. How would I know ... that you would LOVE that last picture ????? Hmmmmm.... LOL

Thanks Esiagian !! My son was having fun trying to make some of the pictures we took look like he really lived back in those days .... and they did turn out good. (I thought) He was so pleased I made a tabblo with what he had done too... :)

Thanks Jerii - It really is something fun to go do ... and my son looks forward to us doing this EVERY YEAR !!! :) Yes the end was funny... so had to put it on a tabblo for fun too. :)
