I Don't Know What I Was Thinking . . .

I don't know what I was thinking, when I was hesitating to go from Windows to MAC.

 

But it's been 2 months, and I haven't looked back. I love my Macbook Pro. I love OS X. 

 

I can run multiple instances of Windows on my Mac and not miss a beat.  I couldn't do that on Windows.

By the way, I just found a new program for Mac called JOURNLER.  It is an awesome organizer, that integrates beautifully with OS X.  If you follow GTD, it is the perfect solution. I highly recommend it.

These shots were taken with a Nikon D200 and the Nikon 105 Micro VR f2.8. They were all taken hand held. Post-processing with Capture NX.

JILL - not sure if there is a tech group this fits. I could add it to Photo Software. I added it to Apple and to Nikon and Macro.

not everybody knows what GTD is... Getting Things Done... kinda a new "culture" around work efficiency among some folks. 43folders.com is a big GTD website.

Locw rhwaw macro shots. It brings to us the pleasure you get with your Mac computer. I like the way the focus is on one small point in the frame. Very well put together and presented. Makes me almost want to switch, but I'm tied into PC's now after playing with them for about 27 uears. Still the Mac looks really good!

Can you transfer pictures stored on Windows to a Mac? Some of your pictures look 3 dimensional, very sharp and clear. Nice job.

PHOTOPOP: Yes - you can transfer all your files and they work just fine. No glitches at all for me. If you use Microsoft Project or Visio, you will have to purchase Mac programs that are compatible. Otherwise, 99% of everything will work on the mac.

You can run Windows on the MAC using Parallels (my preferred solution). It even comes with a migration assistant. You simply run it will your old windows computer is hooked to the network, and it will transfer "everything" as if you were running under the MAC all along. Very cool.

Many thanks for the information. I will hold on to this when I save enough to get an Apple. I have been hesitant to switch if it meant leaving behind my photos.
