I showed up to The SPACE in Portland, Maine not knowing what to expect from this band. What I got was a emotional and uplifting concoction of sound and visuals from the band Do Make Say Think. They had two drummers, two guitar players, a bassist, a sax player, a trumpet player, a violinist, and a keyboardist. The end result was something that only can be experienced first hand. Imagine a soundtrack to your own thoughts, whatever they may be. That is what this felt like.
The opening band, The Berg Sans Nipple, also made a great impression as a cross between the mighty Sigur Ros and Massive Attack. Very dance worthy and enlightening at the same time.
Check these bands out. Whether it be through their records or live shows. Either way, it's an elevating experience.
