Yellowpoint - a rustic paradise by the ocean

I cannot find the words to adequately describe the beauty of this west coast  photographers' dream where I was lucky enough to spend 24 hours with some special friends recently. Just enjoy my photos.....

An Idyllic spot - the sort of place one dreams about. Great pics as always!

A beautiful idyllic place. It was either too cold, too out of the way or very private for there to be so few people there.

What a beautiful, natural looking shoreline. Very nice images. Great job!

Very beautiful nature shots Noreen. The peace and calm are shown in every shot. Even the muddy flat areas become beautiful in their surroundings. It is so well captured, to show us all the different kinds of landscapes in the area, from sandy, to rocky, to scattered wood, to mud flats. All are wonderfully captured. Thank you for sharing.

Wow, thank you so much, everybody for your most generous comments. You make me feel so good but with such a beautiful coastline it is hard to go wrong! LatentE, this is a good comment you have made because in today's world it is hard to find beauty like this without people all over the place. In fact it was not too cold nor too out of the way, just a well kept secret perhaps. The lodge is fuly booked for years. Jean, you are so right, this is indeed the sort of place one dreams about. Joan, thank you for always making such well thought out comments on everybody's tabblos, much appreciated. Tammy, Setu, Paolo, Jeri and Kenneth - you are all too kind, thank you!

Noreen, your landscapes are other worldly. What lens and focal length did you use on the first 2 shots?
Hollyridger said at 1:17 a.m. on Apr 2, 2007:
Hi Pam, I have a Pentax system. Both of these images were taken with the kit lens (18mm - 55mm), the first one was taken at a focal length of 24mm and the second one at 40 mm.

By the way, thanks for explaining to me what a tagger is!

I love the winsome shot of the woman looking out at the water (sitting beside the driftwood) with the boat in the background. Nice collection Noreen.

Great work Noreen - love the low angled shots with the logs. I assume this was your book groups weekend away. I am definitely going out their to do some photography, sketching and painting this summer. Laura.
