The following are photos of a local Newari wedding. It started in the evening with guests greeting the bride followed by dinner and dance. Then the groom arrives and actual ceremony starts and at about 4 or 5 a.m. the bride leaves for the groom's house, with everyone crying and weeping. That was a bit too strange for me. And the ceremony continues into the next day...
