On March 28, 2007, Briana presented Ancient Rome, her fifth in a six-part series about Ancient Civilizations. With props and crafts and lots of learning to do, the kids attacked the activities with their usual gusto! |

There were activities that taught about the Roman militia, Romulus & Remus, and of course, the Coliseum. |

Mosaics were popular in Ancient Rome, particularly those involving sea creatures, so the kids were given a craft to make a fish mosaic, which they excelled at! |

Israel's booth, for each program, is usually the most popular one of all, and there are a few children who immediately rush over to see what he has each time. They were not disappointed this time when he taught them about Roman warriors and displayed the replica Roman sword and helmet. |

I'm not sure who enjoyed Israel's table more: the kids, or Israel.
Ethan looked fierce when he wore the Roman helmet! |
There were some new faces and some familiar faces for Ancient Rome. |

Everyone worked very hard and completed their activity booklet. |

With a little help from Briana and some moms, much was learned about Ancient Rome. |
In the end, all were rewarded with prize bags that included a copy of Briana's own version of a Roman newspaper. As you might guess from all the activities and effort Briana puts into each program, Ancient Rome the Series was not built in a day either. |
