White Geese

I took these photos during the Head of the Charles Race in October 2006. I threw in a roll of Ilford HP5 in my Holga medium format camera and hung out with the geese. I tried to get down on their level but I'm a bit tall and it's hard for me to take really low photos without shooting blind, so my framing is a bit off on them! Of course, the light leaks are typical of the cheap plastic camera that is the wonderful Holga 120S. A lot of folks modify their cameras so there are less light leaks, but I kind of like the "never know what you're gonna get" feeling of shooting with this camera.

These are really cool. We used to have a couple of geese back in the day but they ended up as Christmas dinner. :)

Great Photos, I love the light leak effects this camera produces, I have the Holga 120N I'm going to have to start useing it more, great job on your photos.

Great B&W photos. You did a great job getting down to their level. I would have never known that you are Tall...haha. I guess that is one good thing about being short :-)
