Kids For Stopping Global Warming - Rally

 

On April 14, 2007, Step It Up organized a National Day of Climate Action and rallied people and organizations such as Roots & Shoots across the nation to raise awarness of global warming and call for changes in the ways we live our lives and conduct business.

Last week I watched a program on global warming. Specifically, the researcher and camera crew went to Antarctica and showed before and after shots of a metling glacier. Where there was once a sheet of ice many feet thick there was bare rock. Huge sheets of ice were dropping into the ocean, raising the water level, as the cameras were rolling. It doesn’t take much to figure out what will happen if this continues. To quote George Allen, legendary coach of the NFL's Washington Redskins, "The future is now."
