This is one of my step-grandmother's specialties (beloved by her grandchildren). Her mother taught it to her. Spiedini is a classic Sicilian dish. Thanks for the comments!

Wow, this looks yummy! What are the ingredients? I would love to attempt this. What I love even more about these photos, though, are seeing her hands at work. That tells a story all on its own. I love this.

Sadly, www.butterandoil.com seems to be a lapsed domain, no recipe. And this one looks far more interesting than the run of the mill spiedini recipes I've found...
