Salem State Participates in the 13th Annual Massachusetts Statewide Undergraduate Conference --2007

The 13th Annual Massachusetts Statewide Undergraduate Conference ran at the Lincoln  Campus Center at UMass - Amherst on Friday 27 April 2007. On hand were Honors Program Coordinator Rod Kessler, Transfer Admissions officer Jen Cooney, and Deans of Arts and Science Anita Shea.

While most of us ere in Amherst making presentations, Alicia Gillis pesented her senior project back in Salem in Professor David Goodof's Business class.

The conference included student presentations, both oral and poster. We also heard talks by UMass Provost John Lombardi, Board of Higher Education representative Francesca Purcell, UMass Vice Provost for Research Paul Kostecki, and biologist Dr. Richard A. Goldsby, who spoke of his work producing human immunoglobulins through cloning cattle.

The conference fell on Vanessa Gentleman's 21st birthday. This one-time UMass.-Amherst student had some friends on hand to take note of the occasion.
