Road Trip Summer 06 Phase I - Grand Teton National Park

Our first view of the Tetons. This has to be one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. My photos don't do it justice

Don't forget to look down too :)

An afternoon storm rolling in.

Mount Moran

Dean at the scene

The Tetons are there, you can barely see them in the clouds in the distance!

Clamouring to view ...

A mother moose and her baby. (Yeah, it really is! I need a telephoto lens!!)

On to Yellowstone ... http://www.tabblo.com/studio/stories/view/248751/ The first place of interest we stopped while trying to get our bearings in Yellowstone. We saw the tip of Old Faithful erupting over the trees.

I can't even begin to tell you the emotion these pictures evoked. I used to live and work in GTNP. I fell in love with those mountains and I learned to love myself while I was there. Not a day has gone by since I left that I haven't felt like a little part of me was left there and waiting for me to come back. To me, GTNP is the most beautiful place in the world and looking at your pics was like going home. The way you showed how the storms roll in all misty-like, how it's unspoiled (for the most part) by modern life... I could spend the rest of my life in the Tetons and not miss anywhere else. I can't wait to take my two favorite people - my husband and my son - to the Tetons when we move to California in a few weeks. We will only be half a day's travel or so from there!

Thank you so much for bringing back such good memories and inspiring me for the future.
