Thank you Reta. This was my first attempt at gardening & organically at that. Did plenty of research on the subject. So am familiar with the names of most flowers.

You must get such a lot of joy from this garden - I can hardly believe it is a roof garden. What an achievement. Very well done...
Vinca said at 12:11 a.m. on May 24, 2007:
Thank you Zippy :o)

Yes Holly, it took a lot of effort but it was well worth it. Now it's summer & extremely hot. Too hot to enjoy the garden fully but in winters, we spend a lot of time in it :o) Thank you so much for your appreciation.

What a great garden you have here. A fantastic collection of flowers. Do you use any photo-finishing on your shots, such as adding a little sharpness or maybe a little contrast to them? I am asking because some of the shots are really spot-on sharp, and others look a bit blurry (maybe it is my old eyes! LOL). If you are using a digital camera and your shot is not as sharp as you would like, just take a few more shots to try and get the sharpest possible. Sometimes it can be fixed within a photo-editing program by using the " Unsharp Mask"' tool. When you are creating your tabblo, and if you see some slightly our of focus shots, just leave them out, because, it is better to have less photos with all of them sharp, than more photos with some blurry ones. The whole tabblo has more impact that way. Although the colours are still pretty, it is better not to include any 'doubtful' shots. Cheers Joan

Thank you sooooo... much Joan for those tips. It is exactly what i need as a newbie to all these things. But you see, in this tabblo, the sharp images that you see have been shot with my new camera and the others with a very old phone camera, just to keep a record of the flowers i was growing in my garden or because they looked pretty at the time. A phone camera simply doesn't offer the features a good regular camera can. As for the tabblo, it was again made to put the variety i grew in one tabblo. I plan to replace the blurry shots with better pictures as and when my flowers grow back, now that i can portray their real beauty. :o) I really appreciate your visit and expert comments :o)

These are so beautiful. I think it is wonderful that you took the time to find out the names of all the flowers. I still need to do that but haven't found the time. I just think they are pretty so I take pictures. You spent a lot of time on this. I am sure it is appreciated by many!

Vinca, what is your new camera? I am sending this to my faves, as I didn't know all the names! I especially like the "Dianthus" ;D Isn't Joan great with her comments?
Vinca said at 12:30 a.m. on Jun 2, 2007:
Thanks Dee for your appreciation. I already know the names of these flowers as i grow them in my garden. Have known most of their names since childhood. My mother is very fond of gardening and used to keep mentioning their names. So i picked them up very easily. :o)

Yes Pamela, Joan is not only great with her comments, she is a darling. I really look forward to her comments as they are honest and great advice for me. :o)
