DALLAS, TX STORMS 85-100 mph winds 5-2-07

You can see the progress of the approaching storm.

 

The top pic (which appears light) was already dark and we needed our interior lights on.

 

After seeing the last pic, we were in our bathroom for cover "just in case"....we don't really have basements here in Texas (sorely missed).

 

Our wiinds were at hurricane levels!

 

Luckily, WE made out okay.

 

Everything we had outside blew away, however:  our dining set and extra chairs, ottomons.....our heavy umbrella snapped in two....our trampoline blew away and we found it today in the field behind us in 500 pieces (yes, gone)....my St Francis statue (and he happily just played soccer with us in one of my earlier Tabblo's! LOL) broke in two places and was blown over to smash on his face....my newly purchased plants blew...but luckily we have them all I think!!  That's good as I just dropped a lot on them $$ and that'd be a shame.....hmm...oh, and we had 4 roof tiles blow off.....

 

Right now, the big booms are booming again....the sky looks like pic 2....hope it doesn't come again....if so:  I hope we are okay and I hope we don't get any more roof damage!

We've really had a lot of rain. It is great isn't it, Kelly? Except for the damage that is. We weren't at home when it came through so we didn't get to see the storm clouds over the lake. Probably missed some great photo ops! Dallas didn't get it as bad. It's raining again. The lake is even better now!

You have had some nasty weather Kelly, I think it's on the way to come here too, but should have lost some of it's power by then. Hope everyone are OK

Luckily, we only had 7 roof tiles blow off (and we found them!) and also we found everything else that blew away!! :) Yea!!! The only broken thing: our trampoline (found 40feet behind our rear fence--which is about 1 acre out). Also--still have not found some missing pieces.). Thanks, everyone.
