User names online can sometimes differentiate or categorize people into certain groups. For instance, you can always notice the difference between a women and men's screen name. One example a female may use is Fabuloushotbabe. In reality, this name is a man disguising as a woman. Even in real life, we see gender shaping our relationships. Corey, a 22 year old dental technician has been "assumed" to be a male because of her masculine name. She is actually a long blonde, barbie looking female.

This can also be compared to the name SHANON which is a feminine name but given to some men. I've had confusions many times with male Shanon's at work. A name can tell so much about one, but can also tell completely nothing. Whether it is online or in real life, categorizing femine and masculine names to different genders can be mistaken quite often.
