There is nothing more beautiful than the wild Camas lilies that grow in the woods around Victoria, BC at this time of year. I have tried to select photos that illustrate the sort of environment the Camas grows in, for example wherever the Garry Oak is you will often find Camas. The Garry Oak is a protected tree that only grows in this area; the yellow broom - this is a native of Scotland intrduced in mid 1800s and now an invasive weed on southern Vancouver Island; Labrador Tea and the colourful buttercup, to name just a few.
