Last Saturday, Marisa took a spill off the slide.  When we noticed that she couldn't bear weight on her left leg, we took her to the emergency room.  5 and half hours later, we learned her leg was fractured.  Being the most engaging kid on the planet, Marisa made a lot of friends in ER waiting room (most of which had similar injuries).  All things considered, she handled it very well.  She is now toting a spiffy purple cast donned with signatures from Mommy and Daddy.  Needless to say, Marisa is back to her usual duites.  ergo...Playing and trashing the house.

awww....poor little sweetie and poor sweetie mom having to have gone through this ....feeling her every pain I'm sure!!!! Here's to her wonderful go-to-it attitutude!!!! That will be a big blessing in life!!

Poor little Marisa. The cast doesn't seem to be hindering her activity! Pretty purple cast, my favorite color! The capris pajama bottoms I am wearing right now are exactly like the pants she is wearing in these pictures. Now there's a coincidence! She looks cuter in them though!!!!

I'm glad she's doing ok! That kind of thing can be just as traumatic for the parents (or maybe more) I think. :)

Oh, Melisa, I'm sorry to hear about poor Marisa's spill. These little ones can break so easy, but they heal quickly. My friend's daughter broke her arm at less than a year, and didn't even spill off the slide. She was better in no time, and I'm sure Marisa will be too. It doesn't seem to be slowing her down at all, and she seems happy, so that is good! She's adorable of course. :)
