The Snail

It's been days since I took any pictures, so I grabbed the camera and went out on the back patio to see if there was anything alive out there. My eyes were immediately drawn to a snail on the wall. As you can see in the picture to the left, he made a break for it, but I managed to abduct him to the kitchen where I could get a better variety of lighting and some forcible snail modelling out of him.

So that's it. A bunch of pictures of this one, poor snail who I'm sure wishes he had been better hidden when I stepped outside. Let it be a lesson to him.

It was pretty dark out, so I was shooting with a longer exposure time, and the snail was actually moving fast. Fast for a snail at least.

what a beautiful creature. i never would have known if you hadn't shared. i've always thought snails were kinda icky... or tasty cooked up in a good butter sauce. i guess that's the end of my escargot-eating days.
