Sunrise over Crater Lake

So Crater Lake National Park isn't really open in May. It's not closed, either. Hmmm

 

There were no signs saying I couldn't sleep there, so I did. Being a morning person it was easy to wake up at dawn. I thought it was so wonderful I got my butt up right quick and snapped some photos. They don't do it justice.

Hey Robert - Glad you made it to Crater Lake. I was there a lifetime ago and it was one of my favorite stops on a National Park road trip. Sunrise at Bryce Canyon just nudged it from the top spot.
