Dallas Storm 5-24-07 @ 1700hours

I ran outside to get some pictures of this fast approaching storm....it got very dark out and the "line" of black and white was pretty dramatic!!

 

It got very windy...yet it was SILENT...no storm noises, no lightning.

 

Now, as I type, it is bright out (grey overcast bright) and raining hard...for a bit it was white out condition.    The winds are still blowing...every now and then you hear a "boom"...but nothing dramatic yet.

 

This really looked severe....hard to believe it has been so silent.   Jim called from work to tell me it did this by him, too, BUT, it came BACK the same (dark and scary) soon after and got VERY bad...so watch for it's return!!!  Eeeeks.

Wow, you have captured some really dramatic weather there. It's amazing how powerful nature can be. We got several inches of snow last night, and now most of it has melted. Springtime is a marvel.

I spent summers in Dallas when I was kid. Boy do I remember storms like the one you've described.

Kelly, those pictures were spooky looking! I would have thought it would have been the beginning of tornado formation! Glad it wasn't!! God is looking over you!! You have a protective bubble over your area that the bad clouds went over!
