Staged Photography

Assignment # 7 of my Photography course was called "Staged Photography".  We had to make some photo's in the studio using all kind of materials and accessories to creat a fantasy photograph.

For the first shot I used a Barbie doll, a photo of  my youngest son René overlooking the sea, some shelves, a little glass box with a ship in it, some toy see animals and an old calender picture of an island and made it look like Barbie is sitting on that  island.

For the second shot I used René's picture and some of his Dinosaur toys.  The background of this shot was made of an other old calender-picture with a view on a small island. The sand on the beach is made out of scarfs, the tree is actually a dry leaf.

This assignment was great fun! We got to play with toys again..:)

Lots of fun, Anja! I can see why you are enjoying this part of the course. The second photo is my favourite, too, partly because I prefer the placement of the props. The scarves are very effective and I love the fact that you included your son in both projects. The sky is more interesting, too - just my two bits worth!

Very interesting Anja, what an exercise in imagination it takes to create these shots against a background, but they have turned out remarkable well, and look very 'real'. Love the tabblo and the information on your photography class.
