Memorial Day Project

Here is how the frame started; wood with canvas inset, see below.

 

And to the right is an inset or 'alcove' in our closet that I also tackled on Memorial Day while I was home alone :) 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Perfect except where the tape pulled

some wall off, DANG IT!!!! (See Below.)

Here is the finished product. Above is a close-up and below is most of the shelving area minus one shelf and our dirty clothes (ick!). 

I left the shelves white for that great Chocolate Brown and White contrast.

My husband was scared when I was showing him what I did and pleased with what I did. Quite impressed, actually.

I think it turned out great. Best of all, IT WAS FREE, leftover paint and a little bit of my time!!!!

As you can see, above and below I 'etched' the saying "Always Kiss Me Goodnight." It hangs over our bed . . .. I really like how it turned out!

Looks great and it looked like fun - you know how we love projects!!! I'll have to send pictures of our Texas room soon! We got the paint done - looks like mortar falling off of brick!!
