Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park is 37 miles south of Carmel and located off of the Big Sur coastline. The park extends into nearby 3,000-foot ridges. McWay Falls is the first trail we hiked - only less than a mile. This led to a beautiful view...an 80-foot waterfall that unfortunately is banned to the public :(. The second one, Ewoldsen Trail is a 4.5 mile scenic trail that starts in the redwood forest by McWay Creek and climbs up to some incredible coastal views. (Thanks Michael for letting me use a few of your pics in my Tabblo!) |
