The cloud level was just high enough so that most maneuvers were still possible, but the lack of a blue sky made most of the day rather bad for photography. This was my first attempt at this type of photography and I certainly learned a lot. Not just about the photo part, but also about the planes. My sister, an aspiring aviator, took me to this event and one of her friends had a radio scanner thing and was able to hear the communication between the planes and the tower. Hearing him call out what the planes were going to do before they did it, what angles they were coming from, etc, was a great help. I can't wait to try this again; with clear skies.
Random Notes: > There were over 100,000 people there that day! > None of the images of planes in the air have been rotated.
I've crammed a lot into each of these few collections, but I figured that if you're into aviation, there probably isn't such a thing as too many pics.
This page will be updated as the collections are created. |
