Parras Coahuila, México

 

Parras is located 150 km west of Saltillo (21 km south of Federal Highway 40) in the state of Coahuila Mexico; is one of the most colorful and typical towns in Coahuila.

 

 

Parras de la Fuente, with many colonial buildings, is noted for its beautiful places to swim and its huge trees.    These features have given it the name "Oasis of Coahuila".

Madero House and Wine Museum,

The tradition that don Lorenzo García began in 1597 with the first winery in America continues firm in the heirs of don Evaristo Madero, who bought the San Lorenzo Hacienda 1893.

 

 

 

The tours through its museum and winery tell of the legacy bestowed in its wines, which have been internationally recognized and awarded

Modest chapel on top of De Sombreretillo Hill, whose strong faithful following goes back to 1868 when it was built

The striking natural beauty of the region is combined with the friendly and resourceful community

Excellent tabblo. Good portrait of the area with rich colorful images. I like the landscape images that include close foreground areas. They give a strong sense of scale and depth. Of being there.

Alex - What a gorgeous town. I love the wine Museum. Noe invited me to see it, because he KNEW I'd love this tabblo ... and he's right. It's got so much nostalgia. I LOVE IT.
